Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy is a non-drug treatment for major depressive disorder (MDD), MDD with Anxious Depression, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Similar to an MRI, TMS reinvigorates dormant synapses in the patient’s brain using focused magnetic pulses. It is a safe, non-pharmacological, non-invasive, yet effective treatment.
You may experience improvement in your depressive symptoms within 2 to 3 weeks of beginning treatment. Completing the entire 6-week NeuroStar treatment course offers the best chance for delivering long-lasting relief.
